On December 25, 2011, all accounts on this server were suspended due to an overwhelming security threat caused by malicious software on certain accounts. The accounts appeared to be abandoned. Many of them were running software like guestbooks, forums, and photo galleries. As time passes, software becomes more vulnerable to attack because people discover bugs and other "openings" in the programs. Software developers typically release "patches" -- fixes and adaptions to these problems -- but they aren't implemented when the accounts are abandoned. The end result is that a malicious user can gain unauthorized access to the server and server resources through compromised software.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the sudden downtime. You may restore your account by e-mailing us directly (Shane Steinmetz, Leader), calling us (Shane Steinmetz @ 386 416 9776), or using this form to restore your account. If you decide to e-mail or call, please include your name, a return phone number or e-mail address, your account's domain, and the e-mail address associated with your account. If you are unable to use e-mail or phone, you may use this form to reinstate your account.

We will never e-mail you or call you with a request for your account's password. Do not provide it in correspondence on this website. E-mails were sent out shortly after the downtime began to accounts with registered e-mail addresses. If you have an e-mail address on file and choose to e-mail us, please correspond with us from that e-mail address.

Here is how using this form works:

  1. We will ask you a few questions about your website. We'll ask you for your username, domain, contact e-mail address, and e-mail address we have on file with your account. We will provide an opportunity for you to comment.
  2. After submitting the information, you will receive a unique number that identifies your situation. This is referred to as a "case." You will have an opportunity to check the status of your case by entering your number. Both we or you can add additional messages to the case; we may do so if we have additional questions, and you can add any additional information you wish at any time.
  3. When a message is added to your case, you will receive a notification by e-mail. If the e-mail address you supply resides on our server, you may wish to check the status of your case yourself 24 hours after submitting it.
